Colin Sancaktepe Mixed-use
An Integrated Landscape Vision Centered Around Water and Accessibility

The Colin Sancaktepe project is a thoughtfully designed residential development where landscape and architecture are seamlessly integrated. At the heart of the project lies a large, central lagoon, around which the residential buildings are strategically positioned. The lagoon serves as both a visual and functional centerpiece, creating a tranquil and dynamic environment that enhances the overall residential experience.
Accessible and Cohesive Landscape Design
The landscape design emphasizes accessibility and fluid movement throughout the site. To achieve this, bridges and ramps have been strategically incorporated, ensuring that all areas are easily reachable regardless of elevation or physical ability. The design promotes a sense of continuity and openness, encouraging exploration and interaction with the natural surroundings.
A long walking path runs parallel to the lagoon, offering residents a continuous and scenic route through the landscape. This path is carefully integrated with both planted and open areas, creating a rhythm of shade and light that enhances the walking experience.
Strategic Planting for Aesthetic and Ecological Balance
Plant selection has been approached with precision and sensitivity to the site’s ecological and aesthetic context. A mix of aquatic and terrestrial planting areas has been incorporated, enhancing the natural character of the lagoon while promoting biodiversity. The planting palette is designed to complement the architectural language of the buildings, reinforcing a cohesive visual identity throughout the site.
Sports and Recreation as Part of Daily Life
In addition to passive recreational spaces, the design also includes dedicated sports facilities, such as a tennis court and other active zones. These spaces are positioned to maintain a balance between active and quiet areas, ensuring that the landscape accommodates a wide range of activities without compromising the sense of calm and relaxation established by the lagoon and green areas.
Harmonizing Architecture and Landscape
The design reflects a sophisticated balance between structured architectural forms and natural elements. The integration of water, bridges, and varied planting zones creates a multi-layered spatial experience that evolves as residents move through the site. This harmonious connection between built and natural environments establishes Colin Sancaktepe as a refined and balanced residential development where landscape and architecture are intrinsically linked.
