Gaziantep Mixed-Use Project
Layered Spatial Landscape Composition

Rams Antep is a mixed-use development, with the ground level featuring retail units and restaurants. The landscape design has been shaped to support these active functions, prioritizing fluid and uninterrupted pedestrian circulation. The ground level layout enables a comfortable and inviting environment for shopping and social interaction, guided by a coherent paving and spatial organization strategy.
A reflective pool has been introduced at the ground level to add a vertical dimension to the space while also enhancing the ambiance with a sense of tranquility and visual softness. All pedestrian paths are supported with planting design, where both paving patterns and landscape elements contribute to orientation and spatial continuity. Seating areas are carefully integrated within planting zones to create a cohesive spatial experience. Additionally, dedicated play areas have been designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children while their parents shop.
The site connects to its surroundings from three different levels. These level transitions are articulated with amphitheater-like terracing, offering both a practical and aesthetic solution to topographical differences.
On the upper level, green roofs have been designed exclusively for residential users. Each of the three roofs has a distinct function: one features calm, vegetated seating areas for relaxation; another offers an active children’s play zone; and the third accommodates a café alongside seating and leisure spaces. Pedestrian circulation continues seamlessly at this level, guided by paving designs that ensure connectivity.
Planting selections have been made in response to Gaziantep’s climatic conditions. Shading analysis was conducted to evaluate usability during hot summer months, and canopy structures were proposed over roof seating areas to improve thermal comfort.
At the top level of the two residential blocks, communal rooftop spaces have been proposed, including barbecue areas and social seating zones—designed to foster community interaction and enhance the quality of outdoor living.
