Rooted in the dialogue between architecture and landscape, the design introduces a spatial framework where open space serves as the connective tissue between residential and commercial functions, shaping a coherent and human-scaled public realm.

The landscape is structured around a permeable ground plane that prioritizes pedestrian flow and spatial fluidity. Soft curves and organic geometries guide circulation while creating in-between spaces for gathering, rest, and informal use. Paving materials, textures, and planting patterns are carefully composed to create a legible yet dynamic surface language.

Water features act as spatial anchors and microclimate regulators. Their curved forms and sculptural fountains provide visual focus, passive cooling, and acoustic comfort, while defining the character of the open space. These elements are not merely ornamental — they frame circulation, support seasonal use, and invite lingering.

Elevated wooden decks host café terraces and shaded seating areas under mature tree canopies. These zones offer transitions between commercial frontages and open spaces, creating a gradient of enclosure and openness throughout the site. The planting strategy is composed of layered vegetation — combining native and adaptive species to support biodiversity, seasonal variety, and climatic resilience.

  • Different user groups are accommodated through a series of differentiated open spaces:quiet zones for rest and reading
  • shaded seating clusters and social pockets
  • non-linear children’s play areas
  • flexible plazas for informal gatherings and daily use

The landscape gently negotiates the interface between architecture and public space, integrating building edges through planted buffers, green platforms, and rhythmic tree alignments. It supports not only movement, but moments of stillness and encounter — creating an adaptable, inclusive, and climate-conscious ground for urban life.
